Our approach to privacy
CasinoCheck Malawi respects the privacy of people who use this service. This notice explains, in plain language, how information may be handled when you visit the site, contact us, or use features such as reviews, guides and navigation links.
The site provides independent information about gambling operators, payments and Malawi’s regulatory context. It is not a gambling operator, bank, payment service or government authority. Information about an operator, a payment service or a regulatory source should not be read as a promise that a service is suitable, available or safe for every person.
Information you may provide
You may choose to provide information when you contact the team, send feedback, report a possible error, or ask for a correction. This can include your name, email address, the content of your message and any information you decide to include.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, mobile-money PINs, identity-document numbers or other sensitive information in a general message. CasinoCheck Malawi does not need those details to receive ordinary feedback or privacy requests.
If you submit information about an operator or a payment experience, include only what is necessary to explain the issue. Personal information about another person should not be included unless you have a lawful reason to share it.
Information collected through use
The information technically generated when a website is accessed can vary according to the hosting, security, analytics and communications tools in use. CasinoCheck Malawi does not use this notice to claim that a particular tool, cookie or log field is always active.
Depending on the service configuration, technical information may include an IP address, browser or device information, approximate timing, requested address, referring address and security events. Such information can help with delivery, fault diagnosis, abuse prevention and general service administration.
Where optional measurement or similar technologies are used, they should be presented through the site’s available controls where applicable. A browser may also offer settings for cookies and related storage. Disabling such functions can affect some site features, but does not necessarily prevent access to ordinary reading content.
Cookies and links
Cookies and similar technologies may be used for essential operation, security, preferences or limited measurement, depending on the configuration at the time of your visit. A cookie is a small item stored by a browser; it is not a gambling account and does not itself identify a person in every case.
This site contains links to external sources and, where relevant, operator or payment information. An external website has its own privacy practices and terms. Following a link can take you outside CasinoCheck Malawi’s control. Check the destination’s notices before submitting information, logging in or starting a payment process.
For regulatory context, the Malawi Gaming and Lotteries Authority publishes a table pairing named sports-betting operators with registered websites. The presence of a link or a reference on this site does not expand that official record or create an endorsement. The Gaming and Lotteries Act text requires valid authority licences for internet gaming and sports betting; users should verify current information with the appropriate authority.
Why information may be used
Information supplied directly may be used to respond to a request, consider a correction, investigate a reported content problem, protect the service, keep records of correspondence and meet a legal or regulatory obligation where one applies.
Technical information may be used for security, reliability, troubleshooting and aggregated understanding of how the service is used. It should not be used to make a promise about an individual’s identity, financial position or gambling behaviour.
CasinoCheck Malawi does not need access to an Airtel Money account, bank account or betting account to publish general information. Airtel documents Airtel Money functions in Malawi, while the Reserve Bank of Malawi is the official source for Malawi payment-system oversight. Questions about a transaction should be directed to the relevant payment provider or operator rather than sent with secret credentials.
Sharing and service providers
Information may be accessible to people or service providers who help operate, secure, maintain or communicate through the site, but this notice does not identify a fixed list of providers because the technical arrangement may change. Access should be limited to what is needed for the relevant task.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, legal process or a legitimate request from a competent authority, or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the service, users or another person. CasinoCheck Malawi does not sell personal information as a general purpose data product.
External operators, payment providers and regulators control their own systems. A message sent to one of them is governed by that organisation’s handling practices, not only by this notice.
Retention and security
Information should be kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was received, including handling a request, maintaining appropriate records, resolving disputes or meeting legal obligations. Retention periods can differ according to the nature of the information and the reason for keeping it.
Reasonable technical and organisational measures should be used to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Do not use ordinary contact channels to send information that would create a serious risk if exposed.
Your requests
You may contact CasinoCheck Malawi to ask what personal information you believe you have provided, request a correction, ask about deletion where appropriate, or raise a concern about how a request was handled. We may need enough information to identify the relevant correspondence and may ask for clarification before acting.
Some requests may be limited by legal duties, legitimate security needs, another person’s privacy or the need to preserve records. If a request cannot be completed, the reason should be explained as far as permitted.
Use the contact route for a privacy request. For a correction relating to research or evidence, the methodology and editorial policy provide additional context about how information is assessed and presented.
Updates and questions
This notice may need to change when the service, technical arrangements or applicable requirements change. The current version is intended to describe the approach in clear terms, not to create a contract for an external operator, payment provider or regulator.
If you have a question about information held by a betting operator, payment provider or public authority, contact that organisation directly. The complaints route may help with concerns about gambling services, while privacy questions about CasinoCheck Malawi should be sent through the contact route above.
